HERE’S WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW!
Prepare Your Scrap Metal:
Gather all the scrap metal you intend to sell, ensuring that it is separated into two categories - ferris and non-ferris.
Transport to Normetals:
Transport the scrap metal to the Normetals facility. Be mindful of safety regulations during transportation.
Arrival at Normetals:
Upon arrival, proceed to the weighbridge for ferris steel, or directly to door 2 for non-ferris metal.
Ferris Steel Weighing:
If you have ferris steel, drive onto the weighbridge for accurate measurement. The staff will assist you in weighing the heavy ferris steel, then drop off the ferris steel at back and weigh the carrier (most of the cases will be your vehicle) again to get the weight of the metals.
Non-Ferris Metal Drop-off (Door 2):
For non-ferris metal, go to door 2 where the staff will weigh the material. Follow their instructions for the drop-off process.
Paperwork for the Scrap Metal:
After weighing, the staff will provide you with the necessary paperwork detailing the type and weight of the metal you dropped off.
Proceed to the Office:
Take the paperwork and head to the office on the premises.
Verification and Payment:
Present the paperwork and a valid ID to the office staff. They will verify the information and calculate the payment based on the type and weight of the scrap metal.
Receive Payment:
Once the verification is complete, Normetals will provide you with the agreed-upon payment for the scrap metal. Payment may be in cash or through other agreed-upon methods.
Confirmation:
Ensure you receive a receipt or confirmation of the transaction. This document is essential for record-keeping and serves as proof of the transaction.
Leave the Facility:
Exit the facility, making sure to follow any additional instructions provided by Normetals staff.
